Clinical Therapist
The Therapist functions as a provider of therapeutic services for the patients and their families ages 6 through 17 years of age for our organization. The therapist is responsible for providing a variety of outpatient therapy services to patients with mental illness, behavior management, and/or effects of trauma. The Therapist will work with the treatment team (direct support, family support, case managers) to provide a continuum of services designed to aid in the patient’s goals. In coordination with the Clinical Director, the Therapist will ensure effective communication, collaboration, and coordination between all staff members to ensure that all clients receive the appropriate level of care. Each Therapist position is responsible for ensuring delivery of best practice services throughout all child/adolescent direct service areas within Child and Family Services of Yuma, INC.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field.
- 1 year experience in directly related field
- Must be 21 years of age (licensing requirement).
- Obtain State of Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid certification and TB Clearance
- Valid Arizona Driver License, proof of insurance and a clean driving record.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Additional years of directly related experience
- Bilingual, English / Spanish verbal and written
Master Level Interns
We are currently accepting applications for Master’s Level Behavioral Health Interns. They will have the same expectations as stated above for the Therapist. Supervision is provided by a Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC.
Direct Support
Direct Support Staff provide Family Support and Life Skills to patients 6 through 17 and their families. The direct support staff coordinate care with the therapist to develop a combined treatment plan to achieve the patient’s goals. Direct support staff assist in identifying behavioral issues, teaching replacement behaviors and skills, and encouraging behavioral change through positive motivation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma
- 1 year experience in related field
- Must be 21 years of age (licensing requirement).
- Obtain State of Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid certification and TB Clearance
- Valid Arizona Driver License, proof of insurance and a clean driving record.
